Degree Candidates

Students who are degree candidates at Michigan State University may register for Virtual University courses through the regular enrollment system.

Non-degree Candidates (Lifelong Education)

Students who are not seeking to become regular degree candidates at Michigan State University, but who wish to enroll in Virtual University courses for credit, should follow the procedures under "Enrolling as a Lifelong Education Student at Michigan State University." To link directly to the online Lifelong Education application, click here. Students who wish to enroll in the following programs as lifelong education students may now enroll via a credit card: Criminal Justice,College of Education Teaching Series, Human Environment and Design Facility Management, Molecular Laboratory Diagnostics, and Packaging. Please use the following link to complete your credit card information and fill out the lifelong education application for these courses.

Non-credit

Some Virtual University courses have a "non-credit" enrollment option. If you are comfortable using the Web to transact business, you may use Virtual University's on-line enrollment form. The form accepts encrypted credit-card numbers from recent versions of the Netscape and Microsoft browsers. Directions for registration by US mail are also provided. Evening College

Some VU courses are offered through MSU's Evening College. Evening College is a program of the MSU Alumni Association offering a variety of evening and weekend university-quality non-credit courses. No tests, no grades, no exams, no-stress-learning for personal enrichment. To enroll in these courses, see the Evening College Course List. An online registration form is at the bottom of the page. Please note that you do not need to be an MSU graduate to attend these courses.
